Megan Boyle – Such Great Hypes

                Megan Boyle is the best thing to come out of Baltimore since John Waters. Already she’s rejuvenated Muumuu house, gotten a ‘MeganBoyleSuperFan’ Tumblr dedicated to every step she takes (created by the illustrious Karim Kazemi), and generally created an online ruckus. Shoot, Muumuu house hasn’t released a book for over two years. Glad to see Megan helped nudge them in the right direction. I had hyped up Megan before, bringing her to such great hypes. Now I want to prepare you for the delicious onslaught of excellence befalling your young, relevant noggin on November 15, 2011, a Tuesday.

                There’s been a ton of hype about Megan Boyle’s latest book. While I wish I was the only one I know I’m not alone. Vice Magazine give her a writing gig after she liked their page on Facebook. Once I saw this I immediately liked Vice Magazine’s Facebook page in a weak attempt to earn money. But I can’t do what Megan Boyle does with her brand-ass new column “Boyle’s Brains” which talk about how to properly cook brains if you’re a cannibal. It is the beginning of Boyle’s lucrative career at Vice Magazine, one I am eagerly anticipating. She looks to the future for her first piece, pondering what the future holds for us. Personally I’m looking forward to a future of literally crapping out animated GIFs. 

                But that’s not all! Megan has been interviewed by literally tens of internet-dwellers. Some of these internet-dwellers even see sunlight on a fairly regular basis. One of them had her over for a virtual reading in America’s poetry heartland, Chicago. I’m fairly convinced she’s legit. Her comment about Baltimore I feel obligated to share, as it is perfect “Baltimore feels like a dollar store that's been medicated so heavily it's no longer aware of wanting to kill everyone who walks into it. I mean that in a good way.” That’s perfect. I walk around Baltimore seeing all these advertisements reminding me not to kill people. Whenever a city needs to remind its citizens not to kill each other, that city knows how to get its kicks. 

                Apparently she went through several blogs too, just like me though I never had a Livejournal. I mean, I think I was a little Emo since I enjoyed “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” but that’s a thinking Emo’s movie. For a while I had a Xanga but it bored me. Glad I’m not the only one who created endless amount of blogs, with their content constantly mirroring each other, bumping into each other, trying to create their own personalities. Thus far, I feel this is probably the best blog I’ve ever made. I’m pleased to see the best blog Megan ever made got transformed into “'Selected Unpublished Blog posts of a Mexican Panda Express employee”. Seeing this gives me hope for internet writing and the internet literature scene in general. Muumuu House makes internet city a better place.
