Wow, what an epic status update today. I felt great knowing Steve Roggenbuck has embraced this great big old thing known as life. He’s re-branded himself as a literary rebel, kind of like Anis Shivani except Steve isn’t going to say anything as stupid as “I was a fucking rebel at Harvard.” Nope with Steve Roggenbuck you get the information right from the horse ebook’s mouth. Prepare yourself as I dive deeply into the innermost desires of Steve Roggenbuck’s life-changing Facebook status update.
Steve turns 24 tomorrow. I feel this isn’t an accomplishment, more of a passage of time issue. Congratulations to Steve for making it to the big 24 when big things start to happen. For Steve’s birthday he will be speaking at Duke University describing ‘the digital muse’. Anybody in the North Carolina area should attend. Most likely he’ll razzle-dazzle everybody with a Power Point Presentation that will ultimately own everybody in the room. I’ve seen the power point slides and they changed my life. Before I wanted to be a blogger, now I want to be something beyond definition, beyond the comprehension of 9/10s of your mental capacity.
The MFA Steve was pursuing? It is history. The internet can call him as one of their own. Personally I’m pleased Steve has taken this direction. No school could teach Steve a darn thing. Rather Steve probably could’ve taught his school a thing or two about re-branding, pre-branding, post-branding, brand-branding, and so forth. Glad Steve can freely frolic amongst the residents of internet city, bestowing countless individuals with wisdom beyond mere mortal years. Perhaps we will see new videos from Steve, telling us to soar through those open doors. Later on Steve may do a ‘tell-all’ book describing the mysterious experience known as an “MFA program” a program I nearly took part in except I’m not a good enough writer to be in an MFA program. MFA programs generally discriminate against sloth writers anyway.
Finally, Steve is giving birth to his first book. Some people write books. Others give birth to them. Steve has been pregnant with the biography of Justin Bieber. Those interested in Justin’s private life, his failed first attempt at show business many years ago, when he was a zygote, will find many interesting tidbits to Justin’s multi-facetted personality. Did you know Bieber is German for “Genital Warts”? Also you probably didn’t know Silvio Berlusconi and Justin Bieber are related. Yes, these and other things will be included in Steve Roggenbuck’s 1,200 page exploration of Justin Bieber: the man, the myth, the Bieber.
I’m as excited as heck about Steve’s many changes. As he flies to North Carolina on what I’m assuming to be a plane, he’ll no doubt have a lot to contemplate about life on the internet, writing, and pursuing his dreams. I for one salute Steve for following his muse. Go Steve!
