Steve
Roggenbuck juices my mind with this latest and greatest offering. I watch this
video with a great sense of joy. All the clips, all the pieces that didn’t fit,
are here, for the first time ever, for your viewing pleasure.
We
begin with Steve acting strange due to the presence of the almighty one ‘Satan’
in his life. He tells us about how Satan can ‘burn those calories’. I actually
laughed out loud about the tree house segment, due to my strange sense of
humor. Upstate New York brings out the best in Steve’s deeply amazing,
awe-inspiring videos. As Steve enters the Church of Scientology he learns about
their unique worldview. He makes it to space. While hanging out in the bitter
winter cold he describes the listening habits of people he’s interview, like
brostep fans.
Sarah Lawrence
gets some love. Steve loves Sarah Lawrence. He stole food from there
every single day. I think he’ll have parts of that in his later expected book ‘Shoplifting from a Liberal Arts College’. He worships the moon. He sings.
Exclusive
Baltimore footage appears. I am extremely happy about these pieces. I remember
seeing him edit his videos (#rare) and laughing at a few of these. Now you can
experience the joy I had watching them. ‘Copping a feel of a swan’s ass’ and ‘Potluck’
are two of my favorites. In fact, here’s a very rare fact: there is a secret
hidden message in this part of the video. Guess which part and you win a free <3 on your Facebook wall from me.
I
wonder about my coverage of Steve Roggenbuck. We are friends. For a while he
chilled here. He chills pretty hard. But lately he has been busy. I think about
the blog-o-sphere. Do all bloggers need an alt lit bro in order to promote
their brand in a co-boost environment?
Take
Tao Lin. He gets boosted by Hipster Runoff. In exchange Tao shares Hipster
Runoff links that feature him. I do the same. I cover Steve a lot because he is
so dang busy. In exchange he shares my links. Both Carles and I are anonymous
bloggers hitching a ride on a more ‘IRL promotion savvy’ person. Carles has Tao
Lin, and I have Steve Roggenbuck. Is the co-boost theory proved with simply two
examples? I hope so. Despite having no idea about how Carles looks IRL I’m
going to say that I’m 15% - 17% more attractive than him.
You
know, after all this blogging, I finally understand. I realize what the blog-o-sphere
is about. It really is an ecosystem. If blogging is an ecosystem let me be the
sloth. Now I know why it is so important to build a brand. Hipster Runoff was
chosen due to its ‘Google-ability’, everybody searches for hipsters on the
internet. Sloths have been increasing their internet presence too, by being
adorable, by getting featured on TV shows, and even having their own
documentary.
I am
glad that Steve and I are part of the co-boost ecosystem. I can’t wait for his
book to come out. I can’t believe how hard he works at Facebook. If Facebook is
a game Steve Roggenbuck wins it every day.
